The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) through Decision Support Systems Laboratory (DSS Lab) and the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the context of Enershare project, an EU Horizon-funded initiative aimed at creating a secure and efficient energy data space for Europe.
Although DESFA is not a formal member of the Enershare consortium, this MoU establishes a collaborative framework that allows DESFA to contribute valuable datasets to the project. Through this partnership, datasets available on DESFA’s website will be integrated into the Enershare Data Space, offering key information about Greece’s natural gas grid infrastructure, operations, and flow dynamics. This effort aligns with the EU’s vision of a unified energy data space by enabling cross-sector stakeholders to access reliable and actionable information.
The collaboration expands the Enershare’s range and utility while promoting transparency and innovation in the energy sector. It places Greece at the forefront of sustainable, data-driven energy solutions in Europe, reinforcing the country’s role in the energy transition and demonstrating how open data spaces can facilitate the development, testing, and scaling of innovative, low-carbon technologies across the continent.
Together, NTUA, DESFA, and Enershare are empowering Europe’s energy transition through the integration of innovative energy and data value chains!
